Biplab Deb
Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb stated that internet existed during the time of Mahabharata. He said, “Many may decline the fact, but if the internet was not there, how Sanjay, could see the war in Kurukshetra and describe it to Dhritarashtra? It means the internet was there, the satellites and that technology was there in this country at that time.” His statement caused quite a stir in the media.

Sharad Yadav
Senior leader Sharad Yadav made a remark on BJP leader Vasundhara Raje stating, that she has become fat and tired, she should take some rest. He said, ‘’Aur ye Vasundhara, isko aaram do, bahut thak gayi hai. Bahut moti ho gayi hai… Pehle patli thi… Hamare Madhya Pradesh ki beti hai. Isko kaho ki aaram kare .”
Yogi Adityanath
In a rally held last year, Uttar Pradesh CM said that Lord Hanuman was a forest dweller, deprived and a Dali and that ‘Bajrang Bali’ worked to unite all Indian communities, from north to south and east to west.

Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan
After Yogi’s remark on Lord Hanuman’s identity, Minister of Religious Affairs Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan stated that since Hanuman joined Lord Ram to rescue Sita after she was abducted by Raavan, Lord Hanuman must have been a Jat. It is in the nature of a Jat to help anyone who is in trouble.

Digvijay Singh
In 2013, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh commented on Rahul Gandhi’s aide Meenakshi Ranjan saying that she is a ‘Tunch Maal’ which translates to a desirable object. Hi exact words, while referring to Meenakshi, were ,” Gandhiwadi hain, saral hain, imaandar hain. Sabke paas jaati hain, gaon gaon jaati hain. Rajneetigyon ko thodi si baat me pata chal jaata hai ki kaun farzi hai, kaun sahi hai. Main purana jauhri hoon, ye 100% tunch maal hai.“
