Big Brother is one of the most popular and controversial British reality shows on the TV. The show was started in the year 2000 with 11 contestants who were supposed to live in a custom built house while remaining isolated with the outside world for 64 days. Nasty fights to abusing other contestants and sharing candid moments, all the types of entertainment stuff are seen on this reality show.  With each other, there is something new for the audience in the Big Brother to gain high TRPs However the first ever winner of Big Brother can never be forgotten. Craig Phillips was the first winner of Big Brother.

Craig – Winner of Big Brother

Craig Phillips is an English television personality. Along with this, he is a builder, who is trained as a bricklayer.  After winning the show, Craig appeared in many shows related to building. He has also become the best DIY and home improvement expert as he had shown numerous designs of houses and ways of home improvement. Before becoming popular, Craig was employed with Wrekin Council’s construction department. Simultaneously, he attended night school to study civil engineering and advanced brickwork.

Donated the entire won amount

 Big Brother Season 1 winner was awarded with the prize of £70,000. Craig after winning the show donated the entire prize money to his friend Joanne Harris who was suffering from Down’s syndrome. He just wanted to pay for the heart and lungs transplant for his friends. He gains popularity not just because he had won Big Brother season 1 but for the noble cause he did by donating his money.

 Craigs appearances in multiple shows

After winning Big Brother, he has featured in ‘Bo’ Selecta!’ that was a comedy series. Along with this, he also made appearance in a reality show named ‘Back to Reality’ which made him to raise around £40,000 for Macmillan Cancer Trust.  He made appearance in Lily Savage’s Blankety Blank (2001) and in fifth series of Fort Boyard. He had also raised charity single “At This Time of Year” through Warner Music.
