One of the leading Bollywood actresses Anushka Sharma is on her break to support her cricketer husband Viraat Kohli for ICC World Cup 2019. Anushka’s last film “zero” was released in December 2018, since then after the span of 7 months, neither Anushka sharma has signed any new project nor her any release is in the pipeline, which was giving speculation that she is planning to quit her acting career.

Anushka’s last was Aanand L. Rai’s Zero opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Zero bombed at the box office in 2018, though her performance as Aafia Yusufzai Bhinder, a scientist with cerebral palsy, was lauded by critics as well as the audience. It is claimed that after Zero, the Sui Dhaaga actress didn’t sign any project and has taken a sabbatical from her schedule. This was probably the reason why reports started stating that Anushka is quitting Bollywood.

She is on break for now
However, the 31-year-old actress has a perfect reply to all the rumours that stemmed from her being away from the limelight. When asked to anushka, she said ” I think I have reached that position and security as an actor in my career, where I don’t need to do things or sign films just because I have to fill up time”and further she added ” In the past three years, I have been working in a fashion which was very hectic, and have done roles which were extremely demanding. In one calendar year, to do a film like Pari, Sui Dhaaga and Zero, it’s not easy and takes a toll on you. All are different, and required a lot of prep.”
Bollywood’s youngest producer
Anushka also hailed as Bollywood’s youngest producer, her first production NH10 came when she was 25. Reportedly, she is set to produce another project. The actress is working on a web series for Amazon, which will be based on Tarun Tejpal’s book, The Story of My Assassins.
