Settling the development, Congress party tweeted, “We guilt to hear of the passing of Sheila Dixit. All-time Congresswoman and as three-time CM of Delhi, she changed the face of Delhi. Our sympathies to her family and friends. Hope they find strength in this time of sorrow.”

On the death of Delhi’s former Chief Minister Sheila Dixit, Congress leader Ahmed Patel expressed his sympathies and said, “Sheila Dixit’s tenure as chief minister will be remembered as the golden period in Delhi’s development.”
In a tweet on Saturday, Congress leader Ahmed Patel said, “Delhi and the country have lost an able administrator and kind leader.”
Congress leader Sheila Dixit passed away at 81 on Saturday. She was admitted to the city hospital around 10.30 am today and died at 3.55 pm at a city hospital. Dr. Ashok Seth, the director, Escorts Fortis, told news channel ANI, “At 3:15 pm she again suffered a cardiac arrest. She was put on the fan and at 3:55 pm and she passed away peacefully.”
