The pandemic caused due to coronavirus, had forced all the countries for taking stringent preventive measures in order to control the spread of this virus. Now, there is a new announcement which had been made in UAE, as per this announcement made, all the movement whether in or outside the UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi will be suspended for a period of one week, and this rule will be brought in to force from Tuesday, June 2.
“Abu Dhabi Emergency and Crisis Committee for the COVID-19 Pandemic, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police and DOH, have announced a ban on movement entering & exiting the emirate and between its regions (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, & Al Dhafrah) starting from Tuesday 2 June, for 1 week,” the statement said.
This movement ban had been made for all, including UAE citizens. But at the same time as the part of some relaxation, movements between regions are permitted in the allotted curfew hours of 10pm to 6am.

There are also exemptions available for those who are “employees in vital sectors, chronic disease patients visiting hospitals and the transportation of necessary goods”, the Abu Dhabi Media Office’s statement added.
The entire ban on the movement is been made with the view of enhancing the effectiveness of the national sterilization programme. This move comes after the curfew hours in the United Arab Emirates were shortened by two hours over the weekend.

This announcement was made by the Ministry that the lockdown from 10 pm to 6 am would be in place in order for the national sterilization programme to take place.
However, this is different from the current curfew hours of Dubai which are from 11 pm to 6 am. The relaxation or rather the relief in curfew for Dubai and the rest of the nation comes after lockdown hours were previously in place from 8 pm to 6 am.
