Kangana Ranaut wrote in the tweet, “Jaya Ji, would you have said the same thing if your daughter Shweta had been beaten in my place, given drugs and exploited in my place. Would you have said the same if Abhishek would have continued talking about threats and exploitation and one day he would be found hanging.” She said, “Drug addiction is very high in the Indian film industry. Many people have been caught. NCB is doing a great job. I appeal to the central government to take strict action on this, apprehend the culprits at the earliest and punish them so that the conspiracy of the neighbouring countries can be ended.”
What was the issue?
On Monday, Ravi Kishan gave a statement on the drugs connection of Bollywood in the Lok Sabha during the monsoon session. He had said that drugs penetration has taken place in our film industry. Ravi also said that drug smuggling is being done from Pakistan and China and this is a conspiracy to ruin the young generation of the country.
On this statement of Ravi Kishan, Jaya Bachchan said in Rajya Sabha today, “Yesterday one of our Member of Parliament said against Bollywood in Lok Sabha. It is shameful. I am not taking anyone’s name. They also come from the industry. They are now defaming the same industry to which he belongs, this is not good. I have to say that the industry needs the protection and support of the government.
