Finally, irresoluteness regarding CBSE board examinations 2021 came to an end. This happened after the decision was made in the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. The Central Government and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) solidified their decision of cancelling class 12th board exams in this meeting. Students and their parents have been demanding this for a long time. Some state governments including Delhi also demanded for the same amid COVID-19 crisis.
This matter also reached to the Supreme Court. Where court told the Centre, that if they had decided not to cancel the exam like the previous year, then they must give a proper reason for this decision. After the meeting on Tuesday, PM Modi said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the interest of the students.

On the decision of repealing the CBSE 12th examination, PM Modi said that the health and safety of the students is of the utmost priority, which cannot be compromised. The tension that has arisen among students, parents and teachers regarding the exam should be ended. All the stakeholders should show sensitivity in this matter.
The PM said that the situation of COVID-19 is unstable. In some states of the country, where the rate of infection is declining by creating micro-containment zones, but still their are some places which are yet under a lockdown. In such a situation, parents, teachers and students themselves are also worried about their health. In such a tensed atmosphere, students should not be pressurised to appear for the board examinations.

How will be results evaluated?
After the cancellation of these class 12th exams, now the important question arises thatfollowing which process will the results be evaluated for the students.
The Centre and CBSE stated that according to the time, the marking will be done under the appropriate criteria and the result will be ready. At the same time, students will also be given the option to write the exam if they wish too, just like last time. Students who are not satisfied with their marks will be able to opt for taking the offline exam later.
