Frozen 2′ review: Bringing Back the Warm, Fuzzy Feeling

by Madhvi Bansal

Frozen 2 is not less than a beautiful creation by Disney. The theme of the movie is family, love that can be seen throughout the characters, words, and actions. The characters of the movie have grown in some very emotional way. The story of the movie is full of fun, heartwarming and engaging.

The characters of the movie Elsa (Idina Menzel), Anna (Kristin Bell), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), Sven and Olaf (Josh Gad) are again on an adventure trip to save the kingdom of Arendelle. The strange voice seems to be calling Elsa and takes her and gang to the thick, dark, foggy forest because of what happened there 34 years ago.

Characters of the Movie

The movie of the story revolves around Elsa, who was to know the origin of her magical powers and wants to undo them as the damage caused by them. Elsa was to find out the fifth element to get air, water, fire, and Earth back in harmony. The movie Frozen has a lot of enjoyable content than expected. The best part of Disney movies is that they are very impressive. They know how to give life to their characters. Elsa and Anna are the primary characters but Kristoff and Sven and Olaf are also truly incredible in the movie throughout. Elsa and Aana continue their sisterly Bond despite age, duty, and abilities.

Elsa being the elder sister of Anna gives her protective feeling. She often scolds Anna for getting into dangerous situations and should not attempt them because of the lack of her powers. Anna also acts as the guardian too. Both the sisters have their views over things that further help them in having a strong sisterly bond. Both of them learn more about each other and begin to understand themselves as individuals too.

Kristoff is another main character of the movie whose main purpose is to propose Anna. He has multiple opportunities which lead to multiple mishaps and further leads to some of the funniest lines in the movie. Sven is his human brother and is there to help him any way he can. Olaf is another funny character in the movie, though he is an annoying one but still important. Olaf’s 3 minutes commentary, as well as audience reaction, thrills the other people. Olaf’s dialogue ‘I don’t want to spoil anything’, will steal your heart. Olaf is very much genuine in his thoughts, reactions, and speeches. He generally sees himself as a normal and behaves that way too.

Music of the Movie

Just like the frozen movie, Frozen 2 also has incredible music. It leaves a great impact on the audiences and has performed incredibly by the artists. Different voices of various artists collected in the movie makes this movie more beautiful. Idina Menzel shows off her amazing voice in each of a song and few dialogues as well. There are many instances in the movie where Elsa (Menzel) shows the magic of her voice. She has a pure, heart touching and a soulful voice.

Frozen 2 is not to be missed and is worth watching a sequel. People were underestimating the movie but after watching the audience have a different point of view regarding the movie, the star cast, the animation, the songs everything. They are feeling elated after watching the movie. The movie is for the entire family and not for any particular age group. The movie has an adventure, romance, power and value of the family and above all the world-class music which connects the audience and movie. It’s a beautifully crafted movie altogether and a must-watch.
