Google has launched an interactive video shopping platform called ‘Shoploop’ that will help people to experience the look and colour of the products like they are shopping for real, without having a visit to actual store. The app, developed by Google’s in-house lab for experimental projects called ‘Area 120’, is now available on mobile and the desktop version will be launched soon, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
With the help of this app, users can review the product or recommend the same to someone if they like it. All Shoploop videos are shorter than 90 seconds and help people find new products in an entertaining way. Whether it is the practice of applying nail stickers at home or applying the Colour on hair to change their look. Each product’s video will show everything from the way it look to how it is used and so on. With the help of which you will be able to shape your opinion about the product and decide whether to buy it or not.

Google’s Shoploop stated: Why buy only by looking at the image of the product? The Shoploop experience is more interactive than scrolling through images, titles and details on a traditional e-commerce site. It also helps users to get product reviews from real people who are knowledgeable about the products of a particular area. Once you find a product you are interested in, you can save the product to buy it later or go directly to the website as soon as you click on the product to buy immediately.
Beauty products are at focus
Google said that currently, it focuses on content creators, publishers and online store owners in beauty products in categories such as makeup, skincare, hair and nails. If you are a content creator or store owner in any of these product areas, you can become an exclusive Shoploop creator through their website.
