Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, died on Friday. He was 99 years old. Prince recently had heart surgery. After infection, he was admitted to King Edward Hospital. He was discharged on March 16 after staying in the hospital for 28 days. Prince Philip took the Corona vaccine with the Queen in January.
Prince Philip, born on 10 June 1921, was to celebrate his 100th birthday two months later. The statement issued by the Royal family said, “ It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”

Prince Philip retired from his responsibilities in 2017. Since then, he was rarely seen. He was staying with the Queen at Windsor Castle in London during the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus in England.
His life:
Prince Philip was born on 10 June 1921 in Greece. He was also the oldest male member of the British Royal family. Philip, a member of the Gluxburgh royalty, belonged to the Greek and Danish royal families. His family was expelled from the country when he was only 18 months old.
Philip joined the British Imperial Navy in 1939 at the age of 18 after studying from France, Germany and the United Kingdom. He first met Queen Elizabeth in 1934. Elizabeth was then 13 years old then. She was a distant relative of Philip. Philip also participated in the Second World War. He married Elizabeth after the war.
After the war, George-VI allowed Philip to marry his daughter Elizabeth. He had to leave his Greek and Danish royal titles and become British citizens before the engagement was announced. He married Elizabeth on 20 November 1947, 5 months after the engagement. He was then conferred with the title of Duke of Edinburgh.
Philip left the army in 1952 when Elizabeth became Queen. He was then the Commander in rank. Queen Elizabeth-II first visited India in 1961 after assuming the throne. She was accompanied by Prince Philip. He was hosted by the royal family of Jaipur here.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the country thanks him for his extraordinary life and work. The country is with the Empress and her family, who lost their beloved. He was a devoted husband, father-loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
