Indian doctors are the frontiers in a battle with corona. Despite the imminent danger, doctors and medical staff are working tirelessly to give the best care to the corona patients and the suspects. They are trying their level best to ensure that patients do not take coronavirus back to their home. Fresh cases are being reported from different parts of the country for the past 3-4 days which are now been cared for by the doctors. Along with the doctors, the government too is making efforts to control the outbreak of corona in the country.
Preparedness to face coronavirus
PM Modi has recently taken a review of the coronavirus situation in the country. A meeting was conducted on India’s preparedness to face coronavirus. The meeting was attended by Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, External Affairs minister Dr. S Jaishankar, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and several other ministers of the state. According to the reports, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare gave the presentation that presentation which emphasized the core areas of surveillance at point of entry and community, laboratory support, hospital preparedness, logistics, and risk communication.
Government is on alert to handle the outbreak
In view of the spread of COVID-19, the government has directed all the 12 major ports to create a screening system, detection, and quarantine system for seafarers and cruise passengers to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The Union Health Minister, Harsh Vardhan has also said in the Rajya Sabha that the government is taking necessary measures to control the risk of novel Coronavirus infection spreading to India. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar gave a tweet that all the Indian crew members and some Indian passengers on board the ship Diamond Princess were quarantined off Japan.

Precautionary measures help in spreading Corona Virus
Doctors have suggested the following precautionary measures to control the spread of the coronavirus from one person to another.
- Stay away from an infected person
- Wash your hands often with soap and water
- Sanitize your hands
- Avoid visiting public places
- Immediately consult your doctor if you feel like having common cold and fever
- Self Quarantine to avoid the spread of the virus
Medications used to cure the coronavirus
There is no as such treatment available to cure coronavirus and stop it from spreading from one person to another. However, in a first, some doctors at Ernakulam Medical College Hospital in Kerala have administered the use of a combination of anti-HIV drugs Lopinavir and Ritonavir to treat a patient infected by COVID-19.
