History
Kerala, situated in the southwestern coastal part of the India, also known as the ‘Land of Lamps’It is relatively small than the other states and t covers only around 1% the total area of the country. It shares its boundaries with the states like Karnataka to the north and Tamil nadu to the south and west.
The capital city of the state is Thiruvananthapuram. This state has the highest literacy rate in the country. It has developed a unique culture within the subcontinent, not only a diverse religious tradition but also with its own language, Malayalam.
