In Rajasthan, Monday brought a day of relief for the Congress, which is struggling to save the government.  Around 3 and 4 o’clock in the evening, news came that Sachin Pilot is about to meet Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.  However, this news was not confirmed and the pilot camp was denying this.  But after some time, news has come again that Sachin is meeting Pilot with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi after which Sachin Pilot has been persuaded.  This brought a wave of happiness in Congress.

On the other hand, Sachin Pilot said that it was just an ideological issue.  He also thanked Priyanka Gandhi for listening to him.  The pilot further said, ‘I am saying from the beginning that the basis of all things is ideological.  I always thought that it was necessary to raise this issue in the interest of the party’. After this, late-night, Sachin Pilot tweeted, ‘I thank Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Congress leaders that they have heard our problems.  I will always work for a good India, and with my conviction, I stand with determination to keep the promises made to the people of Rajasthan and save democratic values’.

On Tuesday, many Congress leaders welcomed his return to the party after meeting with him.  Earlier, the Congress issued a statement saying that party President Sonia Gandhi has decided to set up a three-member committee to look into the issues of Pilot and disgruntled MLAs.

After the meeting of Sachin Pilot in Delhi with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, his displeasure with Congress has disappeared.  The party was able to calm his rebellion and take a sigh of relief.
