Rise, fall and rise again: Kapil Sharma

Kapil Sharma, known as one of the best comedians in India, had won millions of hearts with his jokes and funny acts. The actor-comedian had made millions of people laugh in the past  10-12 years. Recently, Kapil Sharma has turns 39. The journey of Kapil Sharma is being a inspiration for millions. His rise from a common man of Amritsar has seen the zenith of success when he came up with his own show titled as Comedy Nights With Kapil on Colors TV. He became a common man’s one of the favourite people. The journey of highs, lows and again highs wasn’t a cakewalk but was very inspiring.

The legacy of Kapil Sharma, India’s “Funny Man” started with his stint in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007, and his six-time win in Comedy Circus. After participating and entertaining the audiences in different comedy shows and reality shows, he came up with his own show titled as Comedy Nights With Kapil on Colors TV which ran for 3 years. From 2013 to 2016, he had dominated theprime time Indian Television and soon become a dinner time fixture for families across the country and one of India’s richest TV stars.

Free Fall

However, kapil’s journey had its own share of ups and downs. His first signs of controversy emerged when the contract of the show ended. The last episode of Comedy Nights With Kapil was aired on January 2016. Soon, he returned with the same bang in 2016 with The Kapil Sharma show (TKSS) on Sony TV. Both the shows were high on entertainment,fun and comedy. With this show, Sharma had become an independent entity, and his show was bigger than the channels on which it aired. 

The show was based on its predecessor format and with much of the old cast, including Sunil Grover, Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti and Ali Asgar.

The show had a similar format to its predecessor and brought back much of the old ensemble cast, including Grover, Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti and Asgar, in new avatars. Soon, the jokes began to fall flat  and TKSS had to go off air in 2017 due to Kapil Sharma’s rift with Sunil Grover which eventually led to several of his team members walking out of the show. After a public fallout between the two, kapil sharma was missing from media and been into depression. He lost in his own negativity and wasn’t seen in the public for months. 

Kapil Sharma never gave up 

When everything was drowning, kapil sharma decided to stand firm and live like a fighter. He woke up to live his dreams again and soon he started to worked on all the weight he gained, confidence he lost and returned back even stronger and funnier. Now, with the new show, new energy is seen in his show. Kapil sharma in December 2018 got married to his childhood love Ginni Chatrath. New show has soon hit the top on the TRP Charts. 

The  journey of Kapil Sharma is truly an epitome of success and inspiration. He stood up again and fought against all odds and became a better version of himself.
