Amid the ongoing Coronavirus infection in the country, many E-commerce companies are providing grocery sitting at home within an hour. A new name has also been added to this list. Now, Swiggy will deliver grocery along with household items within just 45 minutes. For this, the company is preparing to launch Virtual Convenience Store. Actually, people in the metropolitans are giving priority to doorstep delivery.
According to the Economic Times report, Swiggy has also prepared to enter this segment, given the growing online shopping and doorstep delivery amid the Coronavirus crisis. After launching this service Swiggy will compete directly with Flipkart Quick, BigBasket, Dunzo and Reliance Mart. The main rival of Swiggy is Zomato. However, Zomato has also reduced the size of the Zomato Market created for grocery delivery in July. However, Swiggy is preparing to enter this segment aggressively.
Doorstep delivery within 45 minutes
According to Swiggy, delivery will be done in 30 to 45 minutes after the order is received. Service will be available from 7 am to 12 pm. Snack, ice cream, instant meal, fruit-vegetables, grocery items can be ordered through Swiggy Instamart service. The company plans to reach as many people as possible through dark stores.

InstaMart might help Swiggy
The Coronavirus crisis has affected Swiggy’s food delivery business. Considering the impact on the company’s online food delivery service, there is an attempt to put stakes on grocery deliveries. Swiggy is expected to get better results with the launch of Instamart. Swiggy can deliver over 2500 items from its partner Dark Stores. Swiggy will start this pilot project in Gurugram and later it will be launched in Bengaluru. Swiggy’s already-released Swiggy Stores will also continue to work. The company also wants to take the new business to higher heights with the help of food delivery network.
