History
West Bengal, state located in the eastern part of the country. It shares its boundaries with the states like Sikkim to the north, Assam to the northeast, bangaldesh to the east, and the south it is the Bay of benagl,Jharkhand and Bihar to the west. It covers an area of 88,752 sq km. Kolkata is the capital city of the state.
The official language of this state is Bengali and English. It is one of the largest populated state. The climate is transitional between tropical wet-dry to the southern portions and humid subtropical.
Darjeeling is one the famous city of this state, as it is hill station. The people of the state is very fond of food and especially for sweets.
